Well, summer for me started about a month ago when I graduated TFC, May 17th, traveled home May 18th, and began working at the camp May 19th. It’s been an amazing month working with lovely ladies in the office of Delta Lake Bible Conference Center and this week started our first camp: haven camp. Registration was on Monday and things seemed to go fairly smooth. I’m excited for the next two months at delta and know that as it gets busier I’m going to be more overwhelmed and stressed but I’m looking toward Jesus for strength.
I start working for AIM end of August/ beginning of Sept. it all depends on how well my support raising is doing. Right now I’ve had two speaking engagements, praise the Lord and have a couple more lined up. Most of the time they end up asking me last minute to speak so I’ve had to speak off the cuff, but God spoke through me and touched a couple of the hearts of the listeners.
I thank everyone who is praying for me during this process, it is starting to seem impossible, but nothing is impossible with God. I thank the Lord He is on my side and that this ministry opportunity is there. I do ask that you would continue to pray for me:
- that I wouldn’t be nervous to talk to people about this opportunity and my need for financial support
- that God would reveal to me who it is I should speak to about raising support
- that these summer months at the camp would go smoothly and that the office workers wouldn’t be too overwhelmed by the demands of peoples wants and needs.
- that I wouldn’t get “cabin fever” since I’m normally out in the camp doing hands-on ministry with the campers
