Since NY is too far to drive and too expensive to fly for Thanksgiving, I will be spending Thanksgiving with one of my closest girlfriends and her family, Melissa. She came with me to Delta this summer and worked in practically every area. Thank you Melissa for being a demonstration of a servant’s heart for God. Delta Lake’s hope is that all their summer staff is able to go away with understanding more about servant-hood and you were a good example. (One of the keys to being the Lord’s servant, as my dad would say, “Be rigidly flexible” and as my friend Andrew would say, “Be a fettucini noodle!” While she is still in Toccoa completing her degree we have been able to meet up a handful of times. I’ve had her over for a couple sleep overs and she helps me out with the ballroom dancing that I organize. Thank you for your prayers and continued support.
This is Melissa and I at Walmart after she was in a show (hence the stage makeup) called
“While we were young and gay.”

Happy Thanksgiving to you also. Trust you don’t eat too much turkey.
Trisha & Danny are coming home late Friday night after Danny gets off work, so they’ll only be through Sun. afternoon. We are glad they’re coming. Hence, no turkey cooking in our house today.
Carlyle and I will be going to Kirby’s Family Restaurant in New Hartford this afternoon for dinner. We’ll enjoy that! I’ll roast a chicken tomorrow, most likely.
Enjoy today! Good picture of the two of you. Please say hello to Melissa for us.
Love, Madeline
When you sponsor a child it not only provides a hot meal, clean water, discipleship, and basic medical care for the child, it also supports their family by inviting them through the gates of the CarePoint to receive training, discipleship and mentorship.
