“I am your servant;
give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.”
Psalm 119:125

The Lord has been using this verse above to speak to me daily lately.  As I’ve been seeking the Lord these last few years I’ve been aware of the need of me being the Lord’s servant.  You may have noticed most of my e-mails are signed as “bond-servant of Christ Jesus”.  I know the Lord is always teaching us to be more like Jesus Christ, but He has specifically been placing it on my heart to be serving others.  This could be people in the office at AIM, at the Aquatic Center or to others in the community.  While in KY I had the opportunity of loving special needs adults, serving a local with construction work, praying for people while walking through the town and I had the passion of bringing that back here.  I must confess I have yet to begin that in the community in the capacity that I would like.  Lately, I’ve had the desire of just picking up a rake and serving people in that way.  I actually found a church that does that ministry around here except they serve on a day that I work at both jobs.

Either way, I will do my best to uphold to the Lord’s statutes of serving Him in some capacity.  I ask that you, my prayer warriors, encouragers, family, friends, and financial supporters would keep me accountable to that.  As I serve daily in the office at AIM I don’t want to become complacent in the fact that I’m serving there.  While I am serving the Lord there, it is my job and I need to remember that the Lord has called me to more than just an 8:30-4:30 job.  The Lord has given me life and I want to live it to the fullest and allow Him to continue to trust me with the gifts that He is given for His glory!

Father God, I pray that you would use me, your daughter, to do your work.  Lord let me be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ to those who are hurting, needing encouragement, full of anger, and full of sickness.  Keep my eyes and ears open to those opportunities you place before me daily.  Lord, while doing all that, I ask that I would have a humble heart.  Work in me and through me.  In Jesus name, Amen!
