I was passing a house last night with my family. I’m sure you’ve seen those people that just go WAY overboard when it comes to decorations. Well, we passed one of these houses. It was so good my dad and I went back to take a picture… A star of Bethlehem, lots of light up ornaments, a lot of lights, and to top it all off a singing Santa! I’m sure there was more that I missed but boy oh boy… if the Lord judged us on our Christmas spirit I think they would have made it with no problems.
Beyond that, I was thinking about the Bethlehem star. It’s amazing how the Lord used that star to guide the Magi: “Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him” ( Matthew 2:1-2).
While He is the Light of the World, we His children are to be stars
also. He wants us to shine brightly like Him, showing Christ like
attributes so that others see Him in us. As stars we attract people to
the King of the Jews! We can bring people to Christ through our
Christ-like actions. The Lord has called us to be holy as He is holy,
it’s difficult, our fleshly desires get in the way but we have God on
our side! Christ is so much stronger then any stronghold!
Therefore, I challenge you to be a beautiful star that brings people to Christ and shine on.

You look beautiful as always – can’t wait to have you back in Dixieland! 😀
The owners of those houses are mysterious… It’s like those huge signs outside of pharmacies that will say something one minute, and then say something totally different the next. You know that there had to be someone who changed it, but when did they do it!? When do these people who live right down the street from me actually put all this stuff up!? They must get up at like 3am, or some odd hour to do it all. There’s supposedly a town in Virgina where the town power company doesn’t charge for the month of December to encourage people to light up their houses… it’s amazing.
Well I just wanted to say hello 🙂 Hope you had a great Christmas!
