If you’ve been following me on facebook then you probably saw something about going back to school. Maybe the thought of “Is she still working with AIM?” Came to your mind. I want to put your mind at ease. I will still be working with AIM- full time! I know you’re probably also thinking “how does she even have time”? Emergency medicine has been a passion of mine for some time and I have been given the opportunity to continue my education in EMT working toward my Paramedics for almost free at Lanier Tech.
Since I’ve been a Georgia resident for officially two years now I am eligible for HOPE Grant. It is similar to the grants NY state would give students there. Basically my whole program will be taken care of through the state, I’m going part time in the evenings: Tu/ Th so that I can continue at AIM.
Lanier Tech is the most well-known EMT- Paramedic school in the state of Georgia. When I graduate from the program if I were to want a job in the Paramedic field it would be almost guaranteed.
AIM is aware of me going to school and fully supports me as this not only enables me to pursue my passion and this can give AIM more opportunities for future medical mission networking. This quarter I will take some pre-requisites Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminologies. Next quarter my hope is start the actual EMT program.
How can you be praying?
I will have a pretty busy schedule working with AIM basically 9-5, pool on some Friday evenings and Saturday mornings as well as classes on TU/ TH evenings.
So you new student, where are you going back to? Shool 🙂
