Hey guys! I’m here, in Harlan, KY co-leading my first mission trip. Haven’t done too much except lots of driving to get here and enjoying the home of the Vogels. What a blessing they are. They are newly weds, it’s only been three months. They love playing games and Jen enjoys cooking. I can’t complain. She apparently likes to cook and has been experimenting so I’m loving it. Anyway, tonight was a time to get to know the Vogels. While we are co-workers we haven’t really gotten to know each other. After dinner we had a game of Phase 10. Every time I play Phase 10 it reminds me of the time me, Carlyle, Madeline and Tim were heading to Bosnia.
I wanted to thank you for your prayers as I was traveling here and ask that you would continue to pray. I actually just got a call from my “brother” Michael, the one from my GA family and he told me about his older brother who got bit by a brown recluse spider and is in the hospital. Please pray for him as brown recluse spiders are poisonous. The Rogers, my GA family are very dear to me as they have taken me on and I would appreciate you to pray with me.
So tomorrow, we will be preparing the schedule before the team gets here and then I’ll be going grocery shopping with Jen for the week. What an exciting opportunity this week will be.
