So I’m getting close to my breaking point.  Things have been really busy here at AIM as well as at the pool that I work at part time.  Tis the season for over 150 projects within 3 months and for over 1,000 people on a single Saturday to come through our pool.  I am now one of the only certified Instructors to recertify our Lifeguards and certify all our staff.  Therefore, I’ve been teaching non-stop.

Not only that, I had a very exciting week in Texas!  If you did not know, not too long ago (April 11-17th) I went to surprise my home church on a mission project through AIM and I succeeded.  This prohect was for Hurricane Ike Relief in High Island, TX. The project started out great— I flew into the wrong airport! Hahaha.  I promise I was laughing at the time and am still laughing.  Anyway, that was a different experience then I had expected but of course the Lord knew what was in store and I am thankful for that learning experience.  Never have I prayed and journaled in one week as much as that one… I rejoiced in it and sought the Lord for strength and guidance and he continually met me and I’m still learning from it.  Praise the Lord!

You can find updates from the project and pictures at the romealliancechurch.org website!   They did a great job of keeping their supporters back home updated daily!

Anyway, coming back from the TX trip, that same day I was called into work, had the next day off and then was back at the pool all day: teaching and having meetings.  After that, I had to teach more the next day…and the next…  Definitely feeling the toll it’s having on my body.  Teaching for 7 hours straight to 10 people is difficult when you’re running on 1/4 tank, but the Lord helped me through it.  Today, I had another full day of meetings and teaching in which I was responsible for or had to weigh in.  Now, if anyone knows me they know it’s hard for me to get frustrated or impatient or “short” with people but when I’m really tired, unfortunately it can come out, normally not as bad as some- and many people don’t notice because they don’t know me, but those who do know!  Anyway, I’ve been recognizing that and have been doing my best at being proactive with staying in God’s Word and doing my best to go to bed earlier.  I still have two classes that I need to teach for large groups and I also found out today I have another CPR recert class to do and a Waterpark Lifeguarding class to teach all within a two weeks or so.

I’m headed to my breaking point and I ask for your prayers.

Thanks for taking the time to read this- sorry it’s all over the place and difficult to follow.  I couldn’t fall asleep and thought it would be a great opportunity to update you guys- it’s been a while.  Thank you!
